Public Holidays in Cambodia is a remarkable topics among the foreign investors as they are so a lot. Moreover, Cambodia is one of the top country having a lot holidays.
Cambodian people don't have habit to take leave a lot like the other countries specially in Europe. There, for the summer, people take more than a week holiday. But in reverse, the holiday in Cambodia is too much. For this October 2018, we have around one week holidays which is really a lot.

Khmer New Year
This holiday is normally on April in every year. It is to celebrate the Khmer New Year. It takes 3 days. During these days, people is preparing their home, and decorate a place to receive the new goddess. Normally, they believe to have 12 goddess that look after the head of their father properly as one believe that if the head fall into the world, there would be worst thing happen.
Pchum Ben Day
It happens in month of September or October as it depends on the year. These days, people go to pagoda to offer the meal to the monk believing they will help pay to ancestor.
Water Festival
A 3-day holiday that bring people in from different provinces to the capital city, Phnom Penh. There will be the match of the boat that is held in front of the royal palace.
At night, there will be floating boat with machine moving along the river. Those boats are decorated with light to make a scenes.
