Phnom Penh Airport - The Largest in Cambodia



Phnom Penh Airport or Phnom Penh International Airport, its former name was Pochentong International Airport. It is the busiest airport and it is the largest airport in Cambodia. The land is about 400 hectares. The location is about 10 Km west of Phnom Penh, which is the capital city.

The airport has code name PNH in IATA, and VDPP in ICAO. Its Khmer name is អាកាសយានដ្ឋានអន្តរជាតិភ្នំពេញ, while in French, it is named Aéroport International de Phnom Penh.

Management of Phnom Penh Airport


Since 6th July 1995, the Phnom Penh Airport has been operated by the French–Malaysian joint venture company called SCA (Société Concessionaire d'Aéroport). In return for a 20-year concession, SCA committed to a $100 million improvement program that includes the construction of a new runway, terminal and cargo buildings, hangars, installation of a Cat III level Instrument Landing System (ILS) and associated approach lighting.
